ACTH Receptor by Galin F.S., Blalock J.E.

By Galin F.S., Blalock J.E.

The ACTH receptor is a member of the melanocortin receptor crew, 5 participants of that have been defined. Melanocortin receptor 2 is utilized by adrenal cells to have interaction with ACTH. even though ACTH has a variety of results on immune cells that ensue via an ACTH receptor, it really is unknown at this time which member of the melanocortin receptor relations is used.

Figure 9 shows an SEM photomicrograph taken at 30,000X magnification that shows the carbide morphology. As shown in Figure 10, an X-ray spot scan of an individual carbide particle (shaded region) was obtained and compared to the X-ray spectrum of the bulk material (black line). Note the increased amounts of C, Mo, Cr, and V and decreased amount of iron present in the red spectrum. Conclusions This paper has presented a microstructural analysis of H13 tool steel produced via the EBM process. As the processing conditions will significantly affect the metallurgical properties, the decision was made to conduct this initial study using the default processing conditions.

Figure 1 shows the basic elements of an Arcam S12 EBM machine. 1 mm thick layer of metal powder is first spread across the build platform. A 4 kW electron beam gun then preheats the layer using a relatively low beam current and a relatively high scan speed.

In total, three jobs consisting of five specimens each were fabricated using identical build parameters as described above. The first two sets of specimens were removed from the S12 machine immediately upon completion of the job and were rapidly air-cooled. As this is an airhardening steel, it was hypothesized that rapid air cooling would result in the formation of martensite. The second of these two sets was then annealed in a furnace by heating it to a temperature of 9008C and then allowing it to cool to room temperature at a rate of 228C/h.
